About HelenaHelena is located along the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains midway between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. This beautiful city is a natural stopping point for visitors traveling the north to south route. Interstate 15 and US Highways 12 and 287 intersect the city. Helena is at the hub of Montana's largest cities. Within a radius of approximately 100 miles are four of Montana’s six other major cities. A combined population of about 475,000 people live in this radius.

Downtown

Economy
The economy of Helena is very stable and capable of sustaining independent growth and development. The community does not experience the ups and downs of some areas that have one industry or one major employer, with layoffs occurring because of production costs or recessions. Many local, county, state and federal agencies are located here, making the employment primarily in the government sector.
